Entry 34: Who will take care of me when I'm old....
I read an article of a book who will take care of me when I'm old. Covid reminding us daily of our mortality. Old age and death are serious and inevitable. All should prepare for - some terrified and scared of being old and alone - family care giving, aging, and dying alone and no one cares. No one immune to vulnerabilities associated with living a solitary life in old age. Taking care of the elderly requires planning with no idea if anyone you love and trust today will accompany you in your aging journey be by your side til you take your final breath - preparing for the near inevitable not powerless and victim facing old age with respect and dignity. You are the one and only person you can forever count on. May ailments not depress you; be quick to laugh even quicker to forgive happiest from tokens of love and kindness. You've got a friend in me.
